Based on insights from over 500 design professionals, the report outlines how kitchens are evolving to meet homeowners’ preferences for style, functionality, and health-conscious living.
Blast from the Past
Past design trends are poised to make a comeback. Bright colors and earthy tones reminiscent of the 1970s are gaining popularity, alongside the muted aesthetics of mid-century modern design from the 1950s. These retro influences are being reinterpreted with modern materials and techniques, creating a fresh yet nostalgic feel.
Preference for Personality
Personalized kitchen design is taking center stage, with homeowners increasingly favoring bold colors and statement features over traditional all-white kitchens. Color is being used to make a statement in backsplashes, cabinetry, islands, and walls. Accessories like decorative hardware and lighting fixtures are also playing a major role in tailoring kitchens to reflect individual tastes.
Glamarous green is making a comeback!
Color is King
Neutral and natural tones are replacing stark whites and grays. Green stands out as the top shade for 2025, followed closely by blues and browns.
