Answer…. C. 2014!
Surprised? This eclectic Moroccan-inspired kitchen was actually completed in 2014, and it’s a testament to how bold design choices can still feel timeless. Alicia notes, “This was a really unique project in the city for a client with a very specific style. The kitchen features a mix of funky, standout elements, like the hand-painted tile backsplash, the metal hood framed by an arched curve, and even twig-like legs on the glass counter and booth table. To some, these details might seem wild, but nothing in this space truly dates itself.”
She adds, “Even the curved banquette, which you don’t see very often, gives it a modern-yet-eclectic flair. It’s a design that stays fresh because it doesn’t follow trends—it sets them.”

Yes, this stunning kitchen was completed in 2022, but Alicia designed it with a timeless quality that would’ve have been inconceiveable a decade earlier. “We went for a classic style that bridges the gap between traditional and transitional,” she explains. “The warm wood floors keep it grounded and elegant, adding a touch of tradition that feels timeless compared to tiles that might fall out of fashion. Instead of a typical gray, we used a soft gray stain that doesn’t scream ‘gray kitchen’ but instead feels subtle and refined.”
Alicia also highlights the carefully chosen accents: “The nearly white countertops and clean marble details are simple and classic, while the stainless steel hood blends in beautifully without being too bold. Everything works together seamlessly for a look that’s sophisticated and enduring.”
