Revived Hinsdale Coach House

This unique home was originally a coach house built in 1895, servicing a large adjacent estate. The homeowners raised two children here and had recently become empty nesters. Having lived in the neighborhood for years, they wanted to update their kitchen to be more conducive to entertaining, something they had wanted to do for years.

A very unusual layout and two immovable posts meant we had to get very creative. An angled wall was removed to create a perfect niche for the range and oven, tall pantry cabinets on the right were designed to hide a support post while providing ample storage, and the glass shelved wall in the middle seamlessly hides the second post.
