Thanks to its high durability, natural stone is a more expensive tiling option.

Durability and Maintenance

Because natural stone is porous, there is slightly more maintenance involved than other types of tile; cleaning should entail soap and water or non-acidic cleaners.

Installation

Natural stone tiles should be sealed, either with a regular seal (using a clear rain coat to protect it from spills and stains) or an enhanced sealer (which also enhances color). Sealing will protect your natural stone tile from staining and etching.
